Identify the original part
Record where the component is installed and how it mates with other parts. Include an overall assembly photo and close-up views when helpful.
Separate wear from design
A worn sample may no longer show the original dimensions. Provide the approved drawing where possible and explain which areas have changed.
Confirm the revision
A matching name does not guarantee the same configuration. Compare the revision, mating dimensions and installation orientation.
Keep the reference with the order
Retain the approved documents and the part reference for future repeat purchases. Clearly identify spare quantities per assembly.
