TECHNICAL RESOURCES

Receiving and storing graphite components

Simple receiving records make follow-up easier when parts arrive or are placed into storage.

Inspect the packaging first

Record visible damage before removing the packing. Keep shipment labels and order references with the receiving record.

Check identity and quantity

Compare item names, quantities and drawing revisions with the order. Keep small accessories identified to avoid mixing similar parts.

Follow the agreed handling instructions

Support delicate features and avoid contact that could damage edges or surfaces. Use any project-specific packing and storage instructions supplied with the order.

Document a discrepancy

Photograph the condition, retain relevant packing and describe the affected quantity. Share the evidence before making changes to the part.
